REACHswim is a learn to swim program geared toward the special needs population, their siblings, and allies. Our mission is simple: to provide quality swim lessons to all abilities and needs in a nurturing, small class environment. We welcome all abilities and needs from autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, intellectual & physical disabilities, as well as others. We offer classes for the beginner to advance and we specialize in working with those students with extreme fears of water. We have two locations, East Harlem & the Bronx. For further information click the location links below or contact us directly via text, phone, or email.

OUR CLASSES stem from our belief that children learn the most via small group classes settings (3 kids max per entry level classes); enabling them to reach their full potential. Each small group class is personally arranged by our Executive Director; Florencio Flores Palomo, whom has 23 years of experience creating, implementing, and directing aquatic programs for children & adults of all abilities and needs. By doing so, Florencio ensures that each class is comprised of students of similar needs, comfort, and abilities. Our classes are divided into various levels to accommodate a wide range of abilities and needs. For details of our classes, click the links below or contact us today.

Through Make a Splash, the USA Swimming Foundation partners with learn-to-swim providers, community-based water safety advocates, and national organizations to provide swimming lessons and educate children and their families on the importance of learning how to swim. REACH swim has partnered with the Make a Splash Foundation to help them with their mission. This year, REACH was one of 78 Make a Splash programs in the U.S. to receive grant funding to help provide reduce cost swim lessons in 2018. Click the links to the right to learn more
